The Captain: Nuno Simas
Captain Nuno was born a sailor. From the island of Horta in the Azores, Nuno grew up surrounded in an immense sailing community. He reckons he learned to sail before he learned to walk! During college he studied Hotel Management, but quickly realized his true passion was for the sea. Nuno was given an opportunity to sail around the world, which he accomplished in 2 years time. This adventure gave him the desire to pursue his dream of becoming a qualified Captain.
Nuno’s navigation experience is nicely complemented with his easy going demeanor. His ability to adapt to different cultures and people is an ideal quality allowing guests to feel completely comfortable in his presence. He lives a healthy lifestyle, with exercising being a part of his daily routine. One of his favorite water sport activities is wake boarding. Nuno is musically talented as well, with a love for the guitar. |

The Chef: Seonagh Boyd
Hailing from the UK, Seonagh has been working in the yachting industry for over five years, with an additional 5 years of restaurant experience in Scotland and Spain. Highly talented, she credits her culinary inspiration from extensive travel throughout the Caribbean and Mediterranean and enjoys creating elegantly prepared dishes that incorporate a variety of flavors and fresh ingredients. With a focus on light healthy meals, Seonagh specializes in Mediterranean and Fusion cuisine as well as the fine art of sushi. Always enthusiastic, Seonagh looks forward to welcoming you onboard and ensuring that your stay on SPARROW is met to the highest expectations
